Christ Centered, Trauma Informed, Peer-led Trauma Recovery

Phasing Out of Trauma exists at the intersection of faith and trauma-informed care — empowering women to move from victim, to survivor, to victor through safe, Christ-centered, peer-led support.

The Path of Total Integration of
Mind, Body, and Soul

Trauma takes away the gift of living as we were created to be.  Do you suffer from flashbacks? Are you still disassociating? Do you still blame God and find it hard to worship? Do you want to get back to who you truly are?

One Group for Your Entire Journey

Do you find that you need to repeat group content more than one time through?

Instead of repeating the same material over and over again our group walks you through Psychological and Spiritual phases needed for true, lasting healing.

Do you find that you have multiple areas of trauma to address?

Instead of just focusing on one aspect of trauma such as Abuse, Betrayal, or Grief we address the roots of the trauma, and help connect you to resources to go deeper into various areas when you're ready.

Is This Therapy, Couseling, or Spiritual Direction?

No. We’re a peer‑led Christian ministry. Our Leaders and Mentors are qualified by life's experiences, not by professional training.

Many of our members come to group in addition to seeing therapists, or continue into therapy or counseling or spiritual direction to help them move through specific phases, or as they encounter their deeper needs.

We are here for them through it all.

I am Not Sure About God Right Now - Is That Okay?

Yes. Bring your honest questions and doubts; God can handle them, and so can we.

When we've had experiences like you've endured, it's natural to question God. He does not judge those questions, thoughts or feelings you have towards Him right now, thoughts, feelings, and questions are not right or wrong, they are yours to have because He has gifted you free will, and He honors you right here, right where you are.

He will not, however be content leaving you there, He wants to repair His relationship with you, if you'll let Him, through Phasing out of Trauma that will happen.

What if I Get Triggered?

Triggers will happen whether you're inside of group and working on your personal healing or not.  The question is where will you be supported to work through the triggers, and to help replace them with peace?

We practice honesty and transparency, so will tell you from the beginning that you will be triggered at some point during your healing journey. We can also tell you that we will help guide you through the trigger.  If you're overwhelmed in group our leaders will help you through those feelings and sensations, if you're in need of grounding outside of group we provide practices, prayers, and tips. If you need more mentoring with tailored guidance, we're ready to meet those needs.

What Will it Cost?

Our General Meetings will always be available for members at no cost. We offer because we know what it's like to not have a safe place to be heard, to have our experiences validated, and to encounter God in the middle of our healing.  We do gladly accept donations during the group, however they are not required.

Cohort sessions require the purchase of materials as during the cohort you'll be reading through a Phase Work Book, and working through our Reflective Workbook that goes with it. (scholarships are available).

Mentorship offered in addition as we believe every woman deserves a guide along her way to healing that is listening to her, and able to point out her growth, guide her in selecting prayers and practices, and give her some positive accountability to her healing journey. Mentor sessions are a minimum of 1 weekly session for 3 months and are between $25–$50/session depending on the Mentor you choose.

Which Phase Should I Start With?

When you are ready to enter a Cohort, or to begin Mentoring, we typically begin at Phase 1 to build safety and common language.

Depending on what work you've already completed, and the amount of time you have to devote to your individual journey, the time you spend in any given phase will vary.

Our Cohort Groups start together at Phase 1 to build trust, support and community and they determine together when they're ready to move onto the next Phase.

If you choose to work with a Mentor, it will ultimately be up to you to decide when you've completed the work you needed to Phase Out of where you were, and to be able to celebrate your victory before moving forward.

Gentle Next Steps

It's okay not to be ready yet to start your journey with us yet. Reaching out for support can be very intimidating, and depending on how other people have responded when you've shared your experiences in the past it could feel very scary.

Here are some steps you can take to create more safety for yourself before you begin.

Use Our Tag Out Phase

Our Tag Out Phase is for times when you can't focus on your trauma story because something new has happened.

It offers grounding practices, and two brief book resources to give you a sense for what you'll receive when you start your journey with us.

A Testimonial

I didn't know how much I needed this group until I started coming, the topics matched what I needed when I needed it, the women's stories mirrored my own experiences, and the hope that I walk away with week after week is life-giving.

Healing Better with Accompaniment

As trauma survivors, we often find we are closed off from other people - women in particular, and from God.

We isolate and separate ourselves and end up feeling so alone.  At Phasing Out of Trauma, you will find a sisterhood, a safe haven, and true accompaniment where participants and co-leaders are still actively finding healing and moving ahead one day at a time.

Throughout your group experience you will feel accompanied by Christ, as our Wounded Healer, He sees you, loves you and knows you and wants to meet your needs. By your group co-leaders by our mentors and our members, they hear you, validate your experiences, and provide support and encouragement both in and out of group. And by Guardian Angels as we pray for each other that God's angels help our paths to be straight during this healing work so they fight spiritual battles that were never intended to be ours.
